VidCon 2025
Anaheim, CA | June 2025

To celebrate YouTube’s 20th anniversary and spotlight its newest feature, we dreamed up the House of YouTube Shorts—a bold, fantasy-fueled playground built for creativity and self-expression.
This vibrant world invited guests to step inside, explore wildly imaginative spaces, and get hands-on with the tools of creation. Part party, part inspiration engine, the House of YouTube Shorts was all about sparking fresh ideas and giving attendees permission to play, explore, and make something unforgettable.

The Experience

Living Room
Guests entered in small groups of five and were welcomed into the Living Room—the first spark of the experience.
This space set the tone: no demos, no deep dives—just pure, unfiltered energy. It was all about first impressions, instant content grabs, and diving headfirst into the vibe of YouTube. From snapping pics to filming Shorts, this was where the magic started and the scroll-stopping moments began.

Dining Room
From the Living Room, guests flowed into the Dining Room—a vibrant communal hub pulsing with birthday energy.
While no demos took place here, the space brought the celebration to life. Festive details tied to YouTube’s 20th lit up the room, while a 55" screen looped finished Shorts from the demo zones, turning guests into the stars of the party. It was equal parts hangout, highlight reel, and hype zone.
Bedroom/Den
The Den was where the energy turned up and the creativity took the spotlight.
Here, guests stepped into their rockstar era—diving into the first interactive demo: remixing YouTube content on Shorts. From singing along to splicing up viral hits, the space invited playful exploration, hands-on creation, and unforgettable, content-worthy moments.

Dressing Room
Next up: the Dressing Room — because no creator house is complete without a little glam.
This lush, laid-back space invited guests to explore Dream Screen, YouTube Shorts’ AI-powered background generator. With just a prompt and a little imagination, attendees conjured custom scenes, then jumped in front of the camera to bring their vision to life. Guided by on-site staff and powered by Pixel, this demo turned quick ideas into scroll-stopping Shorts — all in style.
Kitchen
The journey ended where all the best parties do — in the Kitchen.
This final stop served up playful chaos with Veo Effects, YouTube Shorts’ AI-powered filter that brought unexpected delight to every clip. From surprise puppies to sudden popcorn explosions, guests explored a world of fun, share-worthy moments where anything (and everything) could appear. Just like any good kitchen hangout, it was cozy, spontaneous, and full of surprises.

Backyard
Finally, after exiting the house, guests stepped into our sprawling backyard — the perfect spot to keep the good vibes going.
This laid-back lounge zone featured comfy seating for conversation, lawn games for some lighthearted competition, and a private shed for stashing bags and belongings. Whether guests came through the full house experience or entered straight from the show floor, the backyard offered a breezy, come-as-you-are hangout — part chill zone, part social hub, and 100% good times.
